Arrested Development - Season 1

This witty television series focuses on the debauchery perpetrated by the Bluth family and the one son in the family that is always tasked with extricating his frustratingly oblivious family from whatever recent nonsense they have engaged in. the series kicks off with George Sr. (Jeffrey Tambor), the father of the family, getting hauled off to the clink for crimes involving the family business. The only responsible son in the lot, Michael, whom is played by Jason Bateman, is then thrown into a position of power over the company and juggles his professional duties with his family’s particular flavor of madness.
The characters are a unique bunch that will have you laughing one moment and appalled the next. The degree to which these people have been so selfish and unaware has repeatedly elicited a feeling of genuine loathing for some for them at time, which really goes to show that they are playing their parts well. The criminal father provides various antics from jail, Michael’s son is experiences a desire for his own kin, and Lindsay (Michael’s sister) ponders as to whether or not her husband is gay. The interactions between these people and the rest of the world are truly something to behold.
This 3-disc season is a gleeful experience and the bizarre and often oblivious actions of this medley of air-headed characters is more than enough to keep you coming back simply to see what kind of mischief these spoiled brats and their offspring can get wrapped up in. With all the potential cousin lovin’, acts of treason, frozen bananas, and an alliance of magicians, this show is bound to hook you and consume your mind until you watch the episode!
