Another Great Casting Call Website
I want to share with you guys another great and legitimate website for casting calls! It is called actors access. Now I will tell you that this site is not completely free, but it is 100% legitimate. It is operated by Breakdown Services which has had a great reputation in the entertainment industry for many many years. FYI: If you see a website that says it is operated by Breakdown Services, then you know it's legit. Actors Access is basically the actor section of Breakdown Services. There is a private section of Breakdown Services that only agents and casting directors can access. This section is meant only for agents to submit their people for auditions and is not meant for actors to look through. Many of the auditions on this section are where most of the mainstream, union paying work for actors is located. Actors Access offers a variety of auditions. There are some big auditions posted on Actors Access because some casting directors have allowed actors to self submit in addition to agents submitting their talent, but the smaller auditions outnumber the bigger auditions. Most of the auditions on this include student films, commercials, industrials, music videos, and independent films. There also theatre auditions on this section too if you're interested in the stage! The auditions that are on the site are union and non-union. There are auditions for SAG, AFTRA,ACTRA,and AEA projects. The site features auditions all over the country and even in Canada, but most of the auditions on this site are in Los Angeles and New York. All agents require that you must at least sign up for actors access, upload two headshots, and upload your acting resume which is free! If you're not signed up for Actors Access, they can't submit you for auditions on the private section of Breakdown Services or the Actors Access section. Now what's not free is if you submit yourself to auditions, if you decide you want to upload a demo reel, if you upload more than two headshots, and if you use their ECO-Host service. For submitting yourself for auditions, you have two options. You can either sign up for a Showfax Subscription and only pay $68/year or you can pay a small fee every time you submit. The small fee is $2 per role and $5 per role if you submit a demo reel along with the reel. I strongly suggest the Showfax option because if you plan on self-submitting a lot, you will save tons of money! Demo reels are $100.00 initially for 2 minutes and $33.00 for each additional minute. When you make any changes to your demo reel it is a $33 fee each time. As far as headshots go if for every headshot you upload after two headshots is $10 per image. So let's say you had twelve photos on your profile, that's $100. And finally the Eco-Host service where you can submit quality video auditions to casting directors. Fortunately I will tell you that if you have a Showfax subscription already it is completely free, but if you don't then it's $3/per video submission. So sign up for Showfax! Actors Access also shared a service where you can have your reel on the front page or your complete profile on the front page of Actors Access for one day for free. This is a great service because since so many industry professionals use this website, there is the potential of thousands of industry professionals viewing your material that day. So you definitely do not want to put junk out there! The website is www.actorsaccess.com and it is by far one of the best and most legitimate audition websites on the web.
