Arakawa under the Bridge
I loved Arakawa under the Bridge. The anime not only managed to convey lessons on what is important in life but did it in such a hilarious way as to leave me laughing uncontrollably most of the time. Especially the episode on Kou and Nino's first date.
The 13-episode anime released in 2010 is the first season of the story and already I'm anticipating the continuation of Kou and Nino's story. Nino a girl who believes she's from Venus inadvertently rescues Kou, the future owner of the Ichinomiya corporation. Kou who has been taught since young to be absolutely self-sufficient practically begs Nino for a way to repay her. Nino decides that she wants him as her boyfriend and that is how he finds himself moving in under a bridge along the Arakawa River. There he grows to become a part of one of her crazy residents.
I can't say more without spoiling the story entirely but belief me when I say that the series is laugh out loud funny. Nino and the other residents teaches Kou what is important, not through words but through their own actions. While most of it is incomprehensible to him at first, it isn't long before Kou finds himself happier than he's ever been.
This one definitely goes on my list of favorite anime.
