Darker Than Black

Darker Than Black is a great anime that pits contractors as assassins against other contractors. The contractors are modified humans with special phychic powers. This series is about a contractor who was involved in the first Hell's Gate incident in which he lost his little sister. In the series, he is searching for her and along the way he is hired to do undercover work for a special hidden syndicate. He has to out smart the police while maintining his undercover identity. The last episode in Darker Than Black is extremely confusing as it has nothing to do with the origianl storyline and it seems out of place. Yet, it makes you wonder what really happens to the character Li.

Overall, the series was very well done. However, when beginning the continuation called Darker than Black 2: Gemini of the Meteor, it leaves you wanting for more and a bit confused. The makers of this series try to complete the gaps in what happened between Yin and Li in the the last four OVA's Darker than Black Gaiden. Moreover, these last four OVA'S do nothing for the series but confuse the watcher.
