Hairspray...A musical which broke so many barriers and touched on so many subjects.

Remember a time when things were still very black and white? In many ways literally. When the boundaries between white middle america and the african americans was strongly seperated. Kids of different colors couldn't dance together, black folks were only allowed to be in certain Restaurants etc?

Well this DVD is a set back to those times, and with some of the most lovely oldies is telling a story of breaking those barriers down. One by one.

That in itself would be enough of making this Movie outstanding, but it goes deeper then that. You can follow along as race, size, differences all are getting pushed to the side. When our Heroin is taking steps and standing for what she believes in, follows her dream and in the end takes the cake so to speak.

A big hurray for overcoming differences. That is to me what this Movie was all about, and it has my personal AAA Plus.

If you are looking for a feel good movie, with some groovy tunes, a fun cast and even more "getty up and go appeal" you want to give it a try. I know it is on my list of favorites to watch.
