Hiromi Uehara The New Wave Of Jazz!

Hiromi Uehara,born 26 March 1979 is no longer a stranger in the jazz scene.Hiromi begin playing since she was just 5 years old and at a very young age,14,she was playing with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra.Not long after that,at the age of 17 she was given the honour to perform with Chick Corea himself.Few years after that she enrolled to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts and was mentored by the great Ahmad Jamal.Hiromi begin her jazz career at the age of 24 on her debut album with Telarc(jazz label).

Hiromi's band consist of bassist Tony Grey,drummer Martin Valihora and guitarist David Fiuczynski(who joins in during time control album).Hiromi is known as the new wave of jazz,combining mainstream jazz such as swings,bebop and progressive rock styles such as dream theater.

Time Control was one of the great album hiromi ever created,combining polyrhythms,odd timing,beautiful melodies and not to mention every improvisation the whole band came out with.The band itself is as solid as a rock,leaving no empty spaces but yet full of colours in each notes that they produced.

Hiromi had played with many jazz legends such as Chick Corea,Herbie Hancock,Oliver Jones,Ahmad Jamal and many more..
