Jazz
Jazz (word of English origin, written sometimes jazzy, pronounced in Romanian GEZ or gas [1]) is a style of music emerged in the early twentieth century in the southern states of U.S. origin with the music of blacks, descendants slaves of African origin. The jazz influence is especially recognize and shades of blues and ragtime, to which are added elements of European music. Later they were taken in the rhythms of jazz and Latin-American music.
Although a relatively recent origin and original meaning of the word "jazz" (first issued in English as well as Jass) is controversial. One hypothesis phonetic kinship with the phrase "chasse-drink", a dance figure in the U.S. state of Louisiana, once French colony. Others believe that it derives from the word Jézabel, on behalf of prostitutes in New Orleans, the American Simplified Spelling "Jazz-Bel." In the jargon of the local population or GISMA jasminoides words mean speed and energy, but also have an erotic significance. The Original Dixieland Jazz Band in 1917 the band had much success at Hall Columbus Circle New York, and the word "jazz" entered the vocabulary current, although with reference to music had already appeared in 1913 in a San Francisco newspaper, without had a resonance.
