A Moveable Feast
It is unbelievable to imagine having such a beautifully interesting life like Hemingway's. His early days in Paris were so meaningful to himself and gave me as a reader a new-found outlook onto his personal life. I absolutely fell in love with his wife Hadley and the lives that they led together. When Hemingway says that Paris stays with you after you have lived there is a completely and totally true statement. This is saying a lot considering that I have never been to Paris myself, but there is no other way I could be more sure of that quote than by reading this memoir. I had no idea before that Hemingway was such close friends with F. Scott Fitzgerald and James Joyce. I couldn't fathom being in one beautiful foreign country together with a group of very similar writers and just having a ball and living life together. To be able to sit and write and hear others stories is just such a dream to me and I wish that I could have been there with Hemingway and all of these magnificent writers while this was going on. I have nothing but excellent things to say about this memoir and have been further compelled to study his life and writings.
