Russell Brand as Arthur

This remake of the 1981 classic, Arthur, was hilarious to say the least. The main character was played by Russell Brand and I do not think they could have casted anyone better for that role. Arthur is depicted as a childish and irresponsible troublemaker who brings shame to the well known and filthy rich, Bach family.

The movie begins with Arthur crashing the Batmobile with his butler, Bitterman, and throwing a shameful party in his famous bachelor pad. His mother, Vivian, confronts him with an ultimatum. Either marry her trusted business associate, Susan Johnson, who will place the companies investors at ease, or lose the billions of dollars he highly enjoyed spending. At the thought of losing the money, Arthur succumbs to his mothers wishes and agrees to the marriage.

After leaving this meeting with his nanny, Hopson, Arthur runs off to spend more money and finds himself at Grand Central Terminal where he meets the adorable Naomi and falls in love. Arthur, who remains drunk the entire movie, tries to find a way to make the right decision in his life and his relationships. This rollercoaster ride will keep the viewer laughing the entire way through.
