Fall in love with Brazillian jazz with this beautiful tribute to Ivan Lins
Submitted by graett on Sun, 2007-08-12 06:47I accidentally discovered this loving tribute to composer, Ivan Lins, a few years ago and immediately fell in love with it. Ivan Lins melodies evoke warm summer night, cool breezes, and star-filled skies. They make you want to stay and stay. From Sting's haunting "She Walks This Earth" to the effervescent "Ellis (Leva E Tranz)" from Peter White, I want to listen over and over and over. Of course, there is a track from Ivan Lins himself -- "Somos Todos Iquais Nesta Noite" -- that had become a favorite of mine as soon as I heard it years before by Lee Ritenour on the Color Rit under the translated title "All the Same Tonight."
